Even if you just clear all the rubbish away and cut back any overgrown hedges and mow the lawn, you are instantly making a difference. Of course if you do have more money you will obviously be able to achieve more in the long run. For example, you could purchase water features and create rock formations which can be placed all around the garden. Walkways can be placed using different colored stones.
